Boombastic is the third studio album by Shaggy. The title song "Boombastic" was a hit song spending a week at number one on the U.S. R&B chart, and a similar stint atop the UK Singles Chart. It also reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 (his first Top 10 hit), backed with his cover of Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime". There are two different versions of this song: the original mix and a remix by Sting which incorporates a sample of Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On. The latter is featured on some versions of the album as a bonus track.
The remixed song was featured in the 1995 Levi's ad "Clayman" directed by Michael Mort and Deiniol Morris where it gained widespread exposure. It was also used in the 2006 film, Barnyard. It was also heard in the movie, Mr Bean's Holiday. It sold over one million copies in the U.S. alone. it was also used as the sex song of Janet and Jonny Keogh In Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps during Series 5
